Travla Hoedown Pre-Party Cruise Giveaway – Terms & Conditions
1. The Promotion
1.1 This promotion (“Giveaway“) is conducted by Moreton Hospitality Pty Ltd trading as The Straddie Hotel, ABN 76 164 994 763, of 158 E Coast Rd, Point Lookout QLD 4183 (“we“, “us“, “the Promoter“).
1.2 The prize on offer is 2 x tickets to the SeaLink Pre-Party Cruise to the travla Hoedown at The Straddie Hotel on Saturday 25 July 2026 (“the Event“), together valued at approximately $98 AUD (based on the individual ticket price of $49 each).
1.3 This is a game of chance. Winner selection is by random draw – it is not a game of skill or judged competition.
1.4 Entry into this Giveaway is free. No purchase is necessary to enter, and no purchase will improve an entrant’s chances of winning.
2. Promotional Period
2.1 The Giveaway opens at Friday 17 July, 2026 at 10:00am AEST and closes at Sunday 19 July, 2026 at 11:59pm AEST (“Promotion Period“). Entries received outside the Promotion Period will not be considered.
2.2 The winner will be drawn and notified by Monday 20 July, 2026.
3. How to Enter
3.1 To enter, during the Promotion Period an entrant must, on the nominated Instagram and/or Facebook post:
(a) follow @thestraddiehotel (Instagram), The Straddie Hotel (Facebook); and
(b) comment on the nominated post, tagging one (1) friend who they would bring to the Event.
3.2 Entrants may enter more than once by tagging a different friend in a separate comment, however each entrant may only win once.
3.3 Entries made via a friend connection sharing, reposting, or posting the Giveaway to their own timeline or story do not count as valid entries – only comments made directly on the nominated post are eligible.
3.4 Incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, or automated (bot) entries will be deemed invalid and excluded from the draw.
4. Eligibility
4.1 Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. By entering, entrants represent and warrant that they meet this requirement. We reserve the right to request proof of age and to disqualify any entrant unable to provide it.
4.2 Entry is open to residents of Australia only.
4.3 Employees (and their immediate families) of Moreton Hospitality, The Straddie Hotel, SeaLink, Travla, and any agencies directly associated with the promotion or judging of it are not eligible to enter.
4.4 We reserve the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any entrant who we reasonably believe has breached these terms, engaged in fraudulent conduct, or used bots or third-party services to generate entries.
5. The Prize
5.1 The prize consists of 2 x tickets to the SeaLink Pre-Party Cruise only, including the return passenger ferry transfer, bus transfer to and from The Straddie Hotel, live DJ set, line dancing session, and the standard inclusions listed on the official ticketing page at the time of the draw.
5.2 The prize does not include transport to or from Cleveland (the ferry departure point), accommodation, food, or any additional beverages beyond those included in the standard ticket inclusions.
5.3 The prize is not transferable to a cash equivalent, and cannot be exchanged, resold, or redeemed for cash or any other item.
5.4 If the Event or the Pre-Party Cruise component is cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled for reasons outside our control, we will use reasonable endeavours to offer the winner an equivalent alternative, but are not liable for any loss suffered by the winner as a result.
5.5 Any ancillary costs associated with taking up the prize (e.g. travel to the departure point, meals, incidental spending at the Event) are the responsibility of the winner.
5.6 If the winner has already purchased tickets to the SeaLink Pre-Party Cruise, the Promoter will refund the purchase price paid for up to two (2) eligible tickets so that the winner receives the prize at no cost. Proof of purchase may be required before the refund is processed. Refunds will only be made to the original purchaser using the original payment method where possible.
6. Winner Selection & Notification
6.1 The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period, using a random comment picker tool.
6.2 The winner will be notified via direct message on the platform they entered through, and/or by comment reply tagging their entry. The winner will also be announced on our Instagram/Facebook page.
6.3 The winner must respond to the notification within 48 hours and provide the requested details (full name, contact number, email, and confirmation both named ticket holders are 18+) to claim the prize.
6.4 If the winner does not respond within the stated timeframe, or does not meet the eligibility criteria in section 4, we reserve the right to disqualify that entrant and select an alternative winner from the remaining valid entries, at our sole discretion.
6.5 Our decision in relation to any aspect of the Giveaway is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Platform Disclaimer
7.1 This promotion is run by Moreton Hospitality / The Straddie Hotel and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook, or Instagram.
7.2 All questions, comments, or complaints regarding the Giveaway must be directed to us, not to Meta, Facebook, or Instagram.
8. Responsible Service of Alcohol
8.1 The Event and the Pre-Party Cruise are conducted in accordance with our responsible service of alcohol obligations. Details of our approach can be found on our Responsible Service page.
8.2 Any person who appears to be intoxicated or under the age of 18 may be refused entry, service, or participation in any part of the Event, in accordance with the Liquor Act 1992 (Qld) and our venue policies.
9. Publicity & Image Use
9.1 By entering, the winner consents to us using their name, photo, and/or likeness (taken at the Event, if applicable) for promotional and marketing purposes across our social media channels and website, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
10. Privacy
10.1 Personal information collected as part of this Giveaway (name, contact details, social media handle) will only be used to administer the Giveaway and, if applicable, to contact the winner. It will not be used for unsolicited direct marketing unless the entrant separately opts in.

11. Liability
11.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, loss, or damage (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any entrant or winner in connection with this Giveaway or redemption of the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including under the Australian Consumer Law).
11.2 Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on entrants by the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. General
12.1 We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant, or to vary, suspend, or terminate the Giveaway, in whole or in part, if it is not able to be conducted as planned for any reason outside our reasonable control.
12.2 These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
